New Class Dates

I have the new class dates all scheduled, so get out your calendars.  The Emergency Evacuation classes that were scheduled for June have been postponed to August and the Spiritual Preparedness classes that were scheduled for July have been moved to September.

So this is the schedule for the summer:
Saturday, June 19th at 8 am - hands-on gardening at my house, I will send out a flier
July - solar oven cooking class (I am still working on the date, I will have that soon.)
August - Class #4 - Emergency Evacuations and every other type of emergencies
      13th - Daisy Mountain Bldg @ 7 pm
      20th - Stake Center @ 7 pm
      27th - Happy Valley Bldg @ 7 pm
September - Class #5 - Spiritual Preparedness, the most important in which if you are not spiritually prepared for the trials in life, sometimes all your other preparations won't matter.
     10th - Daisy Mountain Bldg @ 7pm
     17th - Stake Center @ 7pm
     24th - Happy Valley Bldg @ 7pm

I am working on the recipe page which I should be able to post live in a day or two.  I can't wait till school is out and I can devote more of my time to this calling!

New Date's - I know you all hate schedule changes

Our first gardening class was this last Friday and I am sooo excited to get going on my garden.  Though my husband will probably shoot me when I break the news that we need to re-do the watering system - but you can't argue when you see the results, AMAZING!
Karleah and I are going to change the class schedule a little do to the fact that between family vacations, sending off a missionary, cooking for camp, etc we are finding that June and July are going to be a challenge for both of us. We are postponing June and July's classes to August and September.  We will be having a hands on Mittleider gardening class at my house on Saturday, June 19th.  We will start at 8am.  Then in July we will have a hands-on solar oven cooking class.
Recipes and book titles I will get posted later tonight.

May is Gardening Month - at least for our classes

I finally sat down with my blogger trainer (thank you Trevlyn) so now I just need to schedule in my blogging time!

Okay May's class is quickly approaching and we are sooo very excited!  We will have special guest speakers Paul and Tammy Jones.  For those of you who have been around awhile you might remember them from the North Canyon Ward.  They are going to teach us all about gardening in Arizona and more specifically the Mittleider Method.

This is a method that allows someone who is NOT a master gardener to have a master garden. It allows for maximum output with a minimum amount of space, and provides natural nutrients to the plants so that you can grow anywhere, with any kind of dirt (no matter how bad). It's incredible! It is seriously a no fail gardening method. This is a picture of  Paul and Tammy's first garden using this method - and yes I am jealous!

So please come join us this month, we are going to have a lot of fun!

Daisy Mt. Bldg - Friday, May 14th at 7pm
Stake Center - Friday, May 21st at 7 pm
Happy Valley Bldg - Friday, May 28th at 7 pm
